1. When should I get fit for new golf clubs?
This all depends on age of equipment, if you have never been fit before, notable changes in distance going down and scores going up over a short period of time.
2. Should I get new golf clubs if I’m currently working on my swing?
In my experience I have seen more success in changing equipment before trying to adapt ones swing to their preexisting equipment. We need to get ahead of the bell curve. There are constants that need to be taken into consideration first; your height, strength, age, and background in sports. If you first find your club match, then you can look into tightening up your swing.
3. What’s the best driver for me?
This loaded question does not have a good answer until a fitting has been completed to help tweak out which brand and model fits your needs.
4. Which clubs best suite a high handicap player?
Try not to base your equipment on your handicap, first ask yourself where does your handicap come from? Use of your irons? Woods? Short game? We need to be able to identify your strengths and weakness and go from there prior to giving in to the idea you should be playing high handicap clubs.
5. Do women have to play using ladies equipment only?
No. There is no gender bias with a golf club. It’s all based upon things like ones speed, angle of attack, ball compression and more. It’s critical to be fit for the clubs that best suite you and not your gender.
